and yes yes, didi can stand already, pretty much without support for quite a while. he hit this milestone at the similar timing as jordan. so i am super pleased that everything is going on well... =)
anyway, yesterday, we went to causeway point ichiban yesterday and jordan went to get a balloon from mac's (a ritual, i must say!) so there he was busy kicking tha yellow balloon like a soccer ball, when suddenly this big boy (around 5?) ran over and took the balloon. i looked at him (yes, with my teacher's glare) and he returned the balloon.
i looked over at his mum who was in line at the ichiban entrance and she quickly glanced away. fed up, i thought to myself. what kind of mother!!!
so jordan continued and that boy ran over again! this time round, he grabbed the balloon and pushed jordan to the ground. jordan landed on his butt! i tell u - of course i intervened.
me: what are u trying to do?
boy stares at me blankly and grabs on to the balloon
me: return the balloon, have some manners!
boy returns balloon and runs back to mum
me: can u teach your son some manners? he hasn't said sorry
mum looks up to the ceiling...
me: hello, lady!
waves my hand in front of her face
me: do u understand english? u should have your son apologise! how can u be so nonchalent?
woman looks up again to the ceiling
of coz eugene walks over and drags me away... at this point woman's hubby appears...
woman: that woman is making things difficult for me (points at me)
man: which one? which one?
woman: our boy only take her boy's balloon what
man: it is free mac's balloon right?
i tell u, i lost it! who the heck cares abt the balloon?!?!?! yr big oaf of a son pushed my boy down to the floor, and u as a mum did not bother to step in and ignored me!
i walked up to the man
me: your wife has no manners. so your son also has no manners. what kind of a father and husband are u? u cannot even teach 2 people some manners?
man - stunned
good. i walked off.
*bleah* to that family. i have seen too many kids grow up terribly coz of parents like u!
