i haven't had much time to read the papers. woke up as usual yesterday and was getting ready for tuition when the headlines caught my eyes. read thru the article and told eugene that it was sad that such a young lady was brutally murdered. same age as me. felt even worse after knowing that. just got married. goodness. felt even worse.

i thought to myself, she just looked so familiar and when i read her name again and again, it finally rang a bell. she was my schoolmate.

ok, she's no longer just a number. she's no longer just a singaporean fatality. i knew her and had contact with her in pri and sec school. my heart wrentched badly. we were not close but she was a fellow prefect, so there were times we did interact. i even think she was a classmate in pri school.

i flipped through the old school magazines and there, i saw her.

can't describe my feelings now. just saddened by it all. i admit, i searched for her friendster and was glad that she was such a bubbly person - no change at all from school times.

time sure flies. it's my 4th wedding anniversary tomorrow. wow. 4 yrs and 2 kids later. sure, we don't get to talk as much as we used to, we have to watch out for the kids most of the times, but that is surely a joy of having a family of yr own. life hasn't been a bed of roses last yr, many changes took place and i am so glad i had someone there to be my tower of strength. thank you darling for everything!
