i'm having a splitting headache. lack of sleep plus the excitement of my incessant talking to my little Jordan. dearie hates the way i coo, "Jooooooooooordan..."
he says it has to be fast and quick. "Jordan".
too fast dearie, it sounds so angry. u only say it fast when u are fed up changing diaper after diaper... or when he cries just as u put him down to bed.
a quick fast way to stop him from putting a battery or the remote control into his mouth. "JORDAN!" ... hehehe...
oh trust me... all the ladies will say it the same way as me...
altogether now...

i'm gonna have another remote-control(ing) channel surfer in the house.
ladies - i need my own flat screen plasma. get that for me during the baby shower instead, yah? *big wink*

remember i mentioned that a pregnant woman makes people sleep on the train? u know, unfortunately, this happens only in singapore, i believe. it's sad.
i was on the train over the weekend making my way down to the baby fair at taka and no one offered their seats to me. in fact, as i was about to sit down, a young chinese girl zipped past me to sit and she stared at my tummy - thinking i was an overweight woman who refused to do my daily sit-ups. gave me a look and went of to... u guessed it, "dreamland"...
i went aboard the MRT this morning, on my way to work. as usual, i wasn't expecting anyone to give up their seats as i'm pretty used to the idea that selfish singaporeans take the train and most of them PRETEND to sleep once a preggie gets onboard.
i was so shocked this morning. (well, not really - coz it wasn't a singaporean...)
an old englishman stood up and offered his seat to me. yes, an old englishman. see? wasn't a singaporean. i mentioned that i was only 2 stops from my destination but he boomed in his wonderful english accent, "but u are pregnant, and u must sit!"
just then, the malay couple and the 2 chinese ladies who were busy pretending to be asleep peeked at me and quickly closed their eyes. i sat down and i was more convinced that singaporeans are plain selfish.

i eat so much nowadays. i feel like a pig. i'm like, "another bowl of rice" or "one more... one more..."
BUT, i'm not putting on any weight. (jealous yet?)
many thanks to a church friend who yelled loudly - "steph, u look very pretty when u are pregnant! u are glowing!!" - thank u thank u... compliment very well received - esp coz i don't wear make-up to church...
oh, but the worse thing is i feel like pee-ing every half an hour. u see, baby is starting to grow and pressing down on my bladder. esp at night... i don't really get a good night's rest.
i honestly feel like i should take MC for the whole week to sleep. i'm zonked by the time pronounce myself awake. heh - ok, i watch too much CSI... but i lurv the show... *puts on my sunglasses and tilts my head up towards the screen*
this week should be an exciting week.
i should find out gender of my little one on wednesday. *little one please cooperate coz there's a baby fair at taka and daddy and mummy need to know what coloured clothes to buy*
i'm in the morning session this wednesday. another day of waking up early. i seriously hope that there's no CCA tomm so that i don't have to wake up at the crack of dawn (again)...
PSLE marking days on thursday and friday... (again!) i am going to have to wake up early.... problem is, there's so much to do with the kids and so very very little time!!! next week is CA2 week... gosh!

hehe. i lurv holidays. =) i'm well-rested. and i don't feel like going back to work. =)
enjoyed myself today. met mummy and went for facial and pedicure. had the pedicurist (is there such a word?) draw a flower on my big toenail! heh. look out for my feet.
been cooking the past few days. geting back to the routine. dearie's happy that there's finally home-cooked food. sorry dearie for suffering the past few weeks.
i'm sleepy and hungry now. till then... =)

goodbye july. hello august. *waves*
time flies by real fast.
my p1 kids' parents are requesting that i follow up to p2 next year. hmmmm... i dunno how that's possible considering the fact that i do have 12 potential "E" class-ers. (E - top class)
besides, i'll be on maternity leave from mid jan to june. i doubt i'll be able to follow up.
my class is going to the zoo soon. so exciting. i can't wait. dearie's going along - he lurvs kids. some of the parents closer to me are coming along too. they say it will be a catch up session. these parents are dying to buy me coffee. hahahaa... i'm so blessed.
master bedroom (say the words real fast together!)'s aircon has been out for a week. it started transforming itself into a waterfall last week. drat. i moved dearie, baby and myself to the spare room... only that way can i blast the aircon and get a good night's rest. i'm feeling so very very warm nowadays.
it was a real tiring week. and a couple of noteworthy things happened.
(1)
p1 registration took place and we all become counter-people. having to force a smile early in the morning to parents. some were nice. some were downright nasty. but oh well... who will be nice at 7am in the morning??? long 13 hour days for the past week. couldn't take it yesterday - almost blacked out (again)... my body cannot take it.
(2)
a kid of mine came to school with money to purchase a chinese dictionary. yes, that's normal, u tell me. but wait - the note that she brought along was a purple note. yes, normal again, u tell me. but hmmm... the note was purple, huge and the denomination belonged to the 4-digit family. i almost fainted on the spot. had to confiscate it immediately (i wanted to keep it - heh - talk about integrity) and call her dad. dad came to school and he had a "i am going to kill her" face. she took the note out of his drawer! my goodness.
i'm heading downtown today. been to causeway point so often that i am beginning to loathe the place. u can only go to a certain place that much in singapore.
my head is spinning now though... but i long for the laksa at Tang's Island Cafe. hey - and i am going to make sure we get it.
