i have always wanted to be a homemaker. yes - a housewife. i find it a very fulfilling job responsibility. the times that i watch jordan and dylan grow, learn a new skill, pick up new words... these are all the things that make sacrificing a job worth it.
yes, i'm not officially on NPL yet, but hey, i tell u, watching both boys every day is a blessing and it feels that i'm already a homemaker. yes, of course there are days when i need to get out to take a breather, but an hour later i find myself needing to rush home to be with them. maybe coz i bf, the bond is even stronger.
i lurve it every time jordan calls me, maaarmeee, it is what i have always dreamt of.
last night hubby asked me if i am ready for 3 and 4.
well, i guess deep down inside my hearts of hearts, i am so ready. =) i cannot wait. =)

dylan, looking ever so serious... taking a seat on the sofa becoz jordan said, "didi, sit!!!"
jordan at the other end of the sofa, waiting for his sandals to be brought to him, of courae no one did, he is supp to take them on his own! (u think i'm mean huh? he has to learn what!) jordan is growing by leaps and bounds! really becoming a clever little boy.
3 videos here!
one about dylan talking to his own reflection, it is just absolutely adorable!
another on jordan following instructions on how to shake his legs... taken at MIL's place when jordan stayed over.it's hilarious!
and the latest one where he pats a remote thinking that it's not working... it's so funny, he learnt it from us lah!
and yes, he started to use another word, "broke!" because he broke a cd last week and anything that doesn't work is "broke" - not broken... haha... we'll come to tenses later lah! anyway, he just had to run off to my helper to tell her that the remote is "broke" too. and he even says "broke" with so much gusto! she was doing the dishes in the kitchen... heh.
the next time u see jordan, ask him to show u his "angry face". it'll knock u off yr chair!

jordan has mastered the art of saying, "repeat". he goes, "reeeeeeeeepeeeeeeat" to my helper so that she can play a favourite song of his on the dvd.
he now not only does the actions to lord's army, he also says "yes sir!"

actually, dylan sleeps very well. he can sleep at night for stretches of 7 to 8 hours before waking up for his night feed and then dozing back off again. however, his flipping kept him up all night yesterday.
i guess he was eager to try out this new skill. he flipped over from his tummy to his back almost every one/two hours. so i had to wake myself up too. =(
and yup, i feel so stupid for forgetting to set my video resolution to the highest, no wonder i was wondering how come my videos were so blurry. *stupid*
here's a video of jordan looking for papa just now... haha... yes, yes, with high resolution. no more blurry videos. =)

dylan can flip over!!! from tummy to back! yipee!
i was asked what jordan was doing in the video below... he was watching a "cedarmont kids" video where they were singing the song "the lord's army" and the words are as shown in purple below.
he was marching, riding (bouncing up and down), zooming over land and seas (like an aeroplane, turning one round), saluting (yes sir!)... then he got my helper to join him in his dancing (ran over to call her) and continued dancing... =)
i only have one thing to say about all this... it pays to be a SAHM... life is GOOD!!! i get to see my kids grow day by day and it is truly truly rewarding! =)

and of course visiting lots of various indoor playgrounds...
life is super duper fun!
i may never march in the infantry
ride in the calvary
shoot the artilery
i may never zoom over land and seas
but i'm in the lord's army!
yes sir!!!

jordan is trying hard to be cheeky. i pointed to the family portrait on the wall and asked him who each individual was and here are his answers...
point to my hubby: papa (correct) point to myself: maaaaahmeee (correct) point to his uncles: shuuuu shuuuu (correct) point to grandpa: kong kong (correct) point to grandma... he looks at me, smiles and says: oh.... quack quack quack... (while flapping his arms like a duck) me: are u sure, jordan? jordan: no, no! (complete with a wagging finger) (huge grin) points at grandma, who's standing next to us jordan: didi i give him a smile points at dylan, who's in grandma's arms jordan: ba-naaa-naaa... and proceeds to burst out into laughter
so u tell me, what should i do to this cheeky monkey of mine who calls his brother a banana and his grandma "didi"???

well, that's jordan and that's winnie the pooh. ok, i do have my reasons. listen to me rant!!!
helper and i brought both boys to causeway point this afternoon and i was carrying jordan thru the metro's atrium sale when i heard a lady say (yes, i am so gonna make her grammatically correct here huh), "oh look. he looks like winnie the pooh"... and here goes my conversation with her... with her being so terribly grammatically incorrect!!!
me: huh, sorry, did u say something? saleslady(sl): yr son look like winnie the pooh me: oh sl: yr son is winnie the pooh me: i don't think u should talk about other pple's kids right? sl: i say only what. if he look like winnie the pooh then he is winnie the pooh me: excuse me, u are really quite rude. u can say he is chubby or cute but why associate him with a cartoon character? anyway, as i have said, u shouldn't talk about others' children sl: i talk also cannot. who say i say yr son? i talk talk to my friend only me: u just said my son looks like winnie the pooh right? sl (in mandarin): talk also cannot. (points to me) i very sure u don't understand chinese, u speechless now right? say yr son also cannot me: unfortunately, i do understand mandarin. i say again, pls don't talk about others' kids. it's rude.
(at this point in time, my helper also starts to fume) she gives me a long hard stare...
sl: i say yr son cannot ah? winnie the pooh... winnie the pooh... winnie the pooh... winnie the pooh... (sticks tongue out at jordan)
(i look at my helper and my helper says, "madam, i think she is not right in her mind"
at this point in time, my helper and i go pay for my purchases and noticing that the cashier's filipina, she asks if we can meet the manager.
manager comes down, speaks to the sales lady and turns around and says, "mrs tai, i believe she has a screw loose, i'm firing her now"
now miss sales lady says, "winnie the pooh... " once more and screams, "i dooonch want to say sorry. and i dooonnch want to be fired. i staying here until u close"
manager looks at me and apologises again and assures that jordan is really cute.
honestly, it wasn't an insult. winnie the pooh is cute. just that i guess she said it real weird. =s
