ah yes - finally, u might say. where have i been?
with my jordan of course.
my every waking (and sleeping) minutes are spent with him. needless to say, that has got me into a very sticky situation. i can't seem to leave his sight. oh well, hey, i like to say - my son can't do without me. ha! of course it's tiring. i'd be lying if i said that i don't need a break. with no. 2 growing bigger each day, fatigue sets in like nobody's business.
renowned doctors and pds have always said that one can't spoil their baby. i sometimes wonder whether this statement holds true or not. no, don't misunderstand. i am not saying that my jordan is spoilt. i am wondering on the basis of other babies i've seen and witnessed erratic behaviours for myself.
yes, jordan does get his way (most of the time), but he does know when i mean business. who says u can't discipline an 11-month old? of course i'm not saying spank the living daylights out of him - that's simply abuse. but with a stern "no" and a good stare - that should do the trick.
jordan talks alot. and by alot, i mean, really alot. from his babyish babbling, to now, words that are easily understood and recognised. dada (daddy), mama (me), boh (bolster), neh neh (milk), neang neang (food = i'm starving = feed me)... he understands many words, simply too many to note down, but things like red ball, yellow ball, incy wincy spider, cat, dog, bird, eat... the list is endless. and boy am i proud of my 11-month old wonder.
he said his first English (not baby language) word - THROW! yup, u must be wondering why... well, he has this tendency where he throws his toys out of the playpen and well, everytime he does that, we say the word, "throw". it is, i must say, his favourite word for now. he throws something and he says, "throw" - and he says it with such gusto that no one can bear to scold him for doing so.
my little wonder never fails to amaze me. just yesterday, he took his stuffed monkey, clapped its hands and showed that to me. then he blew bubbles on its tummy - just like how we tickle him. and only just now, he took apart that wet tissue dispenser box and played with the individual parts. i say, forget about buying toys for your kids - just give them everyday items and they do wonders with them. in fact, they fancy everyday items over toys.
alright. my son's calling for me. and HE's definitely much more important than this update. =) p/s: have i ever said? jordan weighs a ton!
